Hi All,

We’ve lots of B-roll and outtakes… mainly because me and Jen will talk for about three hours... The podcasts go up and somehow become an hour long through editing magic, somewhere in the middle!

But this is our downtime too. We’ll sit and talk absolute nonsense to each other for 45 minutes before & after recording, and sometimes there are little snippets left at the end of the timeline that I never quite know whether to include or not.

So here is how the sausage is made, why Jen insists she isn’t competitive (we don’t believe her), why we both enjoy playing golf despite being terrible at it, and how Barbara accidentally killed a rabbit while playing golf.

Enjoy this little bit of madness and behind-the-scenes chaos from our inner workings. We genuinely love doing these podcasts. It’s time we get to spend together, chat nonsense, argue about things, laugh at ourselves… and hopefully you enjoy some of the madness that comes with it too.

Got a question you are burning to asking us, nothing is off limitis, or do you have a behaviour issues you’re trying to figure out? Send us a voice note. Your voice, your question, your community is here.

Real cases. Real answers. All madness (guaranteed, the madness bit anyway).

Voice note your questions on WhatsApp to +353 85 143 8688 to have your questions answered on the Podcast.

Can I just say, right, and this is a total tangent, and this is a five like five minute story for the end. Um we went to play paddle with Katie and Dan like the other weekend. Paddle. And can I just say I honestly paddle. What's a paddle? Yeah. Paddle. It's like it's a crossover between it's a paddle, it's like a crossover between squash and tennis.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, I thought you went like on a paddle boat. I was like, uh literally that's where my it's like is paddle yeah, okay, right. So so kind of like table tennis-y type thing, no?

SPEAKER_00

But you're a full court. Okay, you have a full court, like it's a full tennis-sized court, but you can play off the walls as well. So it's tennis and squash. It's really good fun. Honestly, it's really good fun. Anyway, there's four of us there. I was quite possibly the least competitive person there. Genuinely. I was I was I was I was surprised at myself at how uncompetitive I was, and surprised at some other people who were highly competitive.

SPEAKER_01

I can I actually I can see Katie as being very competitive. Katie was because our uh listeners is informed rider coach. Um uh just for for context. So yeah, I can I can see Katie as being competitive.

SPEAKER_00

Katie was, but uh honestly it was Donald. Donald was the most competitive. Yeah. Yeah. He was like, come on, come on, next point, who serve? Come on. What's the score? I had no idea what the score was. I was just playing. I was just really happy that every time I served it went in the box, pretty much. Um, and that there's this really small gap at the top of the walls, right? And I mean this really small gap to get in there. And it it's not a target, but for some reason for me, it is a target. I'm I'm really good at getting the tennis ball out of bounds.

SPEAKER_01

We don't know. This is yeah, I bet you Donna knows. I'll text him after. We actually don't know. Is that like when we were at the rate at the golf range and the driving range, and you kept hitting it at that, like it was like two foot away, and you were like, I was aiming for it! I was trying to get it in there.

SPEAKER_00

Uh no, there was actually like a knit. Nah, there was actually a knit, and I was like, I just want to hit it straight because every time I tried to hit it with force, it went on every single crazy angle going on. I was scared I was just gonna hit somebody in the head. Um so I thought like just calm down, Jen, focus, just go straight. Living creatures in the head with a golf.

unknown

Oh god.

SPEAKER_01

I still haven't gone back playing after that.

SPEAKER_00

Barbara's I think that's really sad. I really think you should, and I feel like you need to tell the story.

SPEAKER_01

Like, so it's it's still trauma. Um, when was it like last February or something? I went down to the local pitch and put it, like, had the afternoon off, and I was like, I'm just gonna go play. Um, and it was a bit of a miserable day, so I had to place to myself. And I like to say, I was improving, it was getting better, and I had a straight shot, it was like 128 metres or something to the green. And like this is like hole seven or something. And the first one I was just like I was just doing three at a like each hole to try and practice. So like literally first one went wild, second one got halfway there, and the third one I got it on the green, and I genuinely did a little jump in the air and did a whoop and like golf club in the air, like gathered up the golf, like put all the way to the green, and there was a poor rabbit riding on the ground. I had clocked the rabbit in the head, um, and I then it started pissing it down raining, and I carried the rabbit into like the bush where I just like held this rabbit as it died because I maimed it with a golf ball from a hundred and twenty metres away, and I messaged everyone that I knew that played golf, and I was like, This has to be common practice with the rabbit on the green. Somebody else must have done this, you know, and no one was helpful. I grieved for like a week that I had murdered, and I say I haven't gone back then got I'm just like I still feel like a monster. Oh no, you have proper grief. I really did. I really did again, but I like I sat in the bushes, like you know, he passed away. I was because I didn't know what to do. It's the middle of nowhere. I was like, do I take this rabbit to the vet? Like, what happens? And like I obviously couldn't play after that, so I'm just I'm getting I'm getting emotional talking about it. So I walked, I walked back in to your man, and I was like, I'm just gonna call it there for today. Like, thanks very much. Um, and he was like, Yes, bit of a miserable day, and I was like, No, I killed a rabbit, and he just started laughing at me.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it literally takes the same of killer shot to like a whole new level.

SPEAKER_01

But another thing is, but it took away the joy that I got, you know, completely of getting that shot. And I say I haven't got and like and I keep driving past like the local pitch and put here, and the weather's lovely, you know, and I'm just like, no.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like it's a very happy Gilmore kind of story. And he went back to golfing, you know.

SPEAKER_01

It but the thing is we I know, but we watched it the other day, you know, where he like ends up the first one where like they fall off the roof and stuff, and we watched the other day, Dave was like, that's like the rabbit. I was like, oh my god. Do you know? Like, and the thing is, like, by all means, myself and Jen are not good at golf.

SPEAKER_00

It's just do you know, it's just no, not I don't even play golf. I go I I've been to the driving range twice. That's it. That's it. I've been to the driving range twice. Dodo bought me a driver so I could take part because I asked him to, and that is it. That's far as my golfing skills go.

SPEAKER_01

It's just like you know, a bit of pitch and put in the driving range, and it's just nice to do something in the sunny weather. Um, you know. So I don't know whether I should keep this story in dead. It's awful. Does everybody want to know? Oh, I have no idea. Uh maybe this is a random bonus call. Uh I'll leave it at the end of a timeline somewhere. Um and uh if I decide to if people want to know, because I'm like, oh god. Between that and Beyonce, I'm definitely getting cancelled. You know. I actually think you're more likely to get cancelled for the Beyonce comment.
